Recently scrolling through my favorite real estate tech chat rooms I saw a debate about the adoption of mobile by Realtors. Many Realtors who are in those chat rooms have been using mobile for years. They have jumped whole heartedly into the cloud, DocuSign, DotLoop, MobileMe, GoogleDocs, etc so that they can have a virtual office anywhere they go. And they say it’s good for the consumer to have access to their agent anywhere, anytime. They also said the consumer wins when Realtors are able to access real estate documents that can be sent from their Realtor’s mobile phones without the time delay of going back to an office and logging onto a computer.
So, I went to my friends on Facebook for some crowd sourcing and asked, “How important would it be for you if you were buying or selling a house if your agent was able to be completely mobile? Texting listings to you, able to send docs over via mobile, etc?”
I received answers from both consumers and Realtors alike and got a cross section of people saying it was VERY important and some saying, “Meh”. I am posting the comments here from my stream. What do you think?
